Steep Street When you've climbed the climb and reached the top - relax, and drink in that view
A Pattison & Co. Wine
Steep Street Sauvignon Blanc
The word on the street

Our wine is named in honour of Baldwin Street, Dunedin, recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s steepest street. With a gradient of 1 metre in 2.86 metres at its steepest section, a 35% slope climb.

The steepness was unintentional. As with many other parts of early Dunedin, and indeed New Zealand, streets were laid out in a grid pattern with no consideration for the terrain.

The street's namesake was William Baldwin, an Otago Provincial Councillor and newspaper founder, who subdivided the area. So, let’s all raise a glass, this one’s for you William!

Steep Street Sauvignon Blanc
Steep Street Sauvignon Blanc Tasting Notes

Steep Street is bright and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc.

Bursting with citrus and passion fruit notes for a clean, zesty finish this tipple is great on its own or even better with seafood or spicy Thai flavours.
