Palacios Remondo, La Montesa Rioja Crianza

After making his name in Priorat and Bierzo, famed Spanish winemaker Álvaro Palacios returned to his ancestral home in Rioja and took over the winemaking reigns at his family’s bodega Palacios Remondo.

La Montesa Rioja Crianza is named after a hillside vineyard located on the northeastern slope of the Yerga mountain in eastern Rioja. A blend of the indigenous grape varieties that grow on the estate, it is an exceptional, Mediterranean Garnacha-based wine, with a small portion of Tempranillo added for balance. Every vintage La Montesa is perfect when enjoyed by-the-glass on its own, or when paired with any kind of cuisine.

Tasting Note:
Incredibly well-balanced with velvety red-fruit notes and hints of sweet spice, orange peel and ripe red fruit found both in the nose and on the palate.
