Paco Mulero Monastrell 20 Meses

£29.53
From a producer with over 100 years of wine heritage, the Paco Mulero wines are produced from vines cultivated in the north-eastern part of Jumilla - on high slopes with poor chalky, sandy soils. Particularly of note are those made from old, low-yielding Monastrell bush vines; one of Spain’s most ancient varieties, the grape is well suited to the arid climate of Jumilla.

Produced from a selection of low-yielding, old vine, Monastrell - plus additional Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Fermented separately in small tanks, aged in French and American oak for 20 months, and then blended. An opulent nose of ripe bramble fruits, appealing oak and hints of mocha. The palate is full and complex with intense dried fruit flavours, sweet wood spice and ripe tannins. Pair with roast meats, game and rich stews.
