Chateau Vieille Tour La Rose Grand Cru

£25
2016 vintage.

Owned by the Ybert family for more than four generations and with a total surface area of some ten hectares, the estate covers three different appellations: Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. They have succeeded in keeping the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru classification ever since 1987 thanks to their ever keener efforts to achieve consummate quality.

Sumptuously clad in deepest burgundy red, this wine is redolent with intense black fruit aromas, a touch of oak and hints of vanilla. The same fine complexity is found on the palate, which is sound and robust, with a creamy attack. The palate opens with fresh fruit aromas, borne along by promising tannins. A fine wine that reflects the quality of the work both in the vineyard and in the winery.
