Valle Estadea Rioja Blanco

£9.24
Grape varieties: Tempranillo Blanco, Viura, Garnacha Blanco

Founded in 1956, this historic winery is a point of reference for Rioja. The coop currently own 1000 hectares of superb vineyards in the region of Rioja Oriental where the sun shines more and rainfall is lower, producing riper luscious wines that explain why everyone loves Rioja. This group of farmers have been and still are the source of grapes for many of the top brands from Rioja as the dry climate and hotter temperatures produce more intense, ripe flavours than their counter parts in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. The Rioja Oriental region has long been in the shadow of the rest of Rioja but has recently began its rise to fame and is set to take its rightful place at the top of the Rioja quality levels.

Tasting note:
Pale coloured with a nose of pears and citrus, backed by a hint of herbs and toast. The palate is medium bodied and crisp, with lively fresh fruits and a broad texture.
