Hambledon Classic Cuvee Rose

£38.98
First established in 1952, Ian Kellett acquired Hambledon Vineyard in 1999. As a passionate wine lover, Ian was intrigued by the winemaking heritage of the property. Research convinced him that sparkling wines were the future and in 2005 Ian planted a 10-acre ‘test bed’ of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the Champagne classics. Hambledon Vineyard now comprises over 200 acres of vineyards and the House produces three cuvées, all of which are currently Chardonnay-led, non-vintage blends, capitalising on the quality of the chalky terroir of the South Downs and its ability to produce top quality wines.

Great as an aperitif but also a good companion to salmon fillet and desserts made with summer fruits and berries. Best served between 10 and 12°C.

Tasting Note:
On the nose, magnolia blossom followed by perfumed strawberry compote. The palate is rich and mouth filling, balanced by zingy tart cranberry and Amalfi lemon notes. The texture is beautifully creamy with a clean, crisp, biscuity finish.
