Sileni Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc
£11.91
Sileni Estates was born from a long-standing interest in wine by Graeme Avery. In late 1997, along with financial director Chris Cowper and winemaker Grant Edmonds, he established Sileni as an export-oriented producer, committed to crafting world-class fine wines that speak of their New Zealand origins.
Grown on a variety of soil types - gravels which provide tropical flavours, clay loams produce citrus notes, and deep silty soils lift the aromatic quality. Fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain the natural fruit characters. A small portion of Semillon has been used in the final blend for additional complexity and palate weight. The Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc has really pungent, tangy grapefruit aromas with a zingy finish and impeccable balance. Try with a goat's cheese and sunblush tomato tart!"
Tasting Note:
Really pungent, tangy grapefruit aromas with a zingy finish and impeccable balance.
