Founded in 2001, Christian Peth and his wife Maja Luise lead the team at Weingut Peth-Wetz, located between Worms and Alzey in Germany’s Rheinhessen. As both owner and cellarmaster, Christian cultivates 30ha of vineyards around the towns of Bermersheim, Dalsheim and Westhofen, where his vines grow in loess and limestone soils. The wines are both striking and confident.
Tasting Note: Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry and spice on the nose. The palate delivers a lovely, smooth texture and notes of liquorice, pomegranate and toast accented by a touch of red tea on the lingering finish.
