Palacios Remondo, Propiedad Viñas Viejas
£35.94
Organic.
After making his name in Priorat and Bierzo, famed Spanish winemaker Álvaro Palacios returned to his ancestral home in Rioja and took over the winemaking reigns at his family’s bodega Palacios Remondo.
La Propiedad is a single-variety of the finest Garnacha from vineyards planted at 550 metres of altitude. The vineyard’s soils are mainly calcareous, clayey-ferrous and with a large amount of pebbles. The harvest is carried out manually, taking advantage of the hours of less sun to keep the grapes fresh.
Tasting Note:
Red and black fruit aromas on the nose, accompanied by a subtle floral note and nuances of chocolate. On the palate it is accompanied by soft tannins and balanced acidity.
