Monte del Frà, Valpolicella Classico Lena di Mezzo
£15.92
Monte del Frà translates as ‘Hill of Monks’ and is located in the heart of the Bianco di Custoza DOC. It now consists of over 65 hectares of vineyards is owned and run by brothers Eligio and Claudio Bonomo. It is one of the most progressive and dynamic producers in the region and has been particularly innovative in its adoption of modern viticultural techniques.
With the classic blend of native grapes being sourced form the hills high over Lake Garda, this is a classically made style of Valpolicella from one of the most respected producers in the region. A good match for red meats, poultry and mature cheeses.
Tasting Note:
This wine has persuasive aromas of fresh and dried red berry fruits, with plenty of spice and black pepper, and that bold, full-bodied mouthfeel we expect from Valpolicella.
